This project will co-design, co-develop, launch and evaluate the initial impact of a new digital communication service for and with young people who have connections to people living with dementia. Optimising dementia care is a national policy priority. Research has demonstrated the importance of effective communication in care, but little guidance exists for carers, especially younger people. A free-to-users advice package, DemTalk has been developed in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Society for older users. We will now take the principles and practices identified in DemTalk and extend their availability and relevance to younger people in development of this digital service.
